Demonstrating Christ’s love to the families and communities of rural Guatemala by partnering with them to improve their physical, educational, and spiritual well-being.

As common people, we look to God to do uncommon things through us. We seek to bring integrity, accountability and transparency to all our interactions. We live in gratitude to the Lord who has called us to walk with Him in the highlands of Guatemala. We are committed for the long haul. We share the love of Christ and strive to model His teaching.

“Another thing I find myself repeating over and over is Poco a Poco. Little by little. We cannot expect overnight changes. When we work in relationship and walk with someone, we MUST go at their pace. Did you ever try to have a conversation with someone when they are walking way out in front of you? It’s frustrating! We must find a pace that is comfortable for the people we serve. ”
accomplishments
In 13 years, Colegio Horeb has grown from 28 students to over 450.
Teachers, who once worked without pay, are now making a living wage.
Scholarships are being provided for students, grades K-University. We currently have a Colegio Horeb graduate attending medical school and one recently graduated from law school.
WIND helped to establish kindergarten and middle school levels at Colegio Horeb.
WIND developed a sponsorship program, 21 Girls, to encourage girls to stay in school.
Land was purchased for a new school, and two large buildings, housing eight classrooms, have been completed.
Over 1000 pastors and church leaders have been trained in the Bible.
We have placed wood-burning stoves in over 100 homes, providing families a safe way to cook.
WIND has established an emergency medical fund which has enabled many students and family members to receive critical medical attention.
WIND established a feeding program for malnourished students that provides each child with a nutritious, daily lunch.
