21 GIRLS

In 2018, 21 girls began first grade at Colegio Horeb in Cotzal, Guatemala. Statistically, only four of those girls will graduate ninth grade. Only four.

You can help change this! What if 100% of these girls graduate from ninth grade?

In 2018 WIND started the 21 GIRLS program to encourage that year’s class of 21 first grade girls to stay in school through ninth grade by matching each student with a sponsor.

21 GIRLS sponsors encourage students through financial support, prayer and communication.

As our program grows, each year’s class of incoming first grade girls will also be matched with a sponsor.

Watch our “See Me” video.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

A sponsor’s $35 tax deductible monthly donation enables one girl to stay in school.

Sponsors are connected with one specific child. You will receive a photo of your student, and you are encouraged to pray, send birthday cards and letters, and even visit her in Cotzal!

Sponsored children do not receive direct cash benefits. Your donation helps to support their education and maximize the work at Colegio Horeb, paying teachers’ salaries, providing teaching material, and renting classroom space.

Do you have more questions? Go to our 21 Girls FAQ page.

To sponsor a child, click HERE. You will be contacted with your sponsored girl’s picture and information.

We currently have several girls who need a sponsor.

CAN YOU HELP THESE GIRLS STAY IN SCHOOL AND CHANGE AN ENTIRE GENERATION?

On a recent visit, a young student at Colegio Horeb grabbed my arm and asked, “Who is my special someone?”

MAYBE THAT SOMEONE IS YOU!
