ABOUT WIND

Most non-profits go a mile wide and an inch deep. At WIND, we go an inch wide and a mile deep.

Mission Statement

Demonstrating Christ’s love to the families and communities of rural Guatemala by partnering with them to improve their physical, educational, and spiritual well-being.

Core Values

As common people, we look to God to do uncommon things through us. We seek to bring integrity, accountability and transparency to all our interactions. We live in gratitude to the Lord who has called us to walk with Him in the highlands of Guatemala. We are committed for the long haul. We share the love of Christ and strive to model His teaching.

Key Platforms

ADVOCATE: We encourage and give voice to those who have been rendered voiceless.
EDUCATION: We empower local leaders.
RELATIONAL: We choose to walk with those we support.

Another thing I find myself repeating over and over is Poco a Poco. Little by little. We cannot expect overnight changes. When we work in relationship and walk with someone, we MUST go at their pace. Did you ever try to have a conversation with someone when they are walking way out in front of you? It’s frustrating! We must find a pace that is comfortable for the people we serve.
